Steps-2 Admission of an EMS Course at the Emergency Response Training Center

Students who would like to be admitted into any Initial EMS Course are required to attend a mandatory Orientation Meeting with the Program Director. This meeting will include an overview of the EMS Course structure, requirements for successful completion, and submitting required documentation. Students are asked to contact the office by text or phone at 517-441-1505 to schedule an appointment to meet with the Program Director.

Students are encouraged to bring any completed clinical requirement step documentation with them to their orientation appointment. Students will need to have all required documentation submitted to the training center in order to participate in the required clinical componant of the Initial EMS Education Program.

Step # 1

Follow this process through the payment selection and registration process. It should be noted that courses are limited seating and on a first-come, first-served basis. Students will want to secure their seat in class by completing their course registration as soon as possible.

Step # 2

Following your complete registration for the EMS Initial Registration Process, you will want to call or text 517-441-1505 to schedule an Orientation with the Program Director. The Orientation will last about 30 minutes and include an orientation to course expectations, documentation that needs to be filled out, and an overview of the overall process. Step # 3

Upon registering for the course, students will be sent an invite from 'Canvas Infrastructure",. This is a free on-line platform that is utilized as a part of the student's learning environment. Student's will use this platform to find course documents, practical skill sheets, assignments, weekly discussion questions, and project rubric and supportive information. Students do not need to enter any codes but will need to register with the site.. Students may need to check various folders to include their spam folder if thry can not locate the invite.

Step # 4

While waiting for the course to begin, students will want to begin looking over their homework assignments, completing the clinical pre-requisites as soon as possible. Due to the potential time delays, students are encouraged to complete these task and submit them by email attachment to business.office@ersinc-us.com upon completion.

Step # 5

Prior to the first day of class, ensure that all payment arrangements are made before the first day of class, and have a plan in place to complete the steps in the clinical equirements. Finally, you will want to completely read and study your textbook and class notes. Everything that will be taught in the course will be important and help to prepare you for your testing process and ultimately your role as an EMS provider.

Step # 6

Begin the process of reviewing the content and becoming orientated with your course. Students are encouraged to start initial homework assignments, to include medical terminology, discussion questions, and reading assignments as soon as possible. The length of class is short and by getting a head start on class, you will be able to take some pressure off from submitting assignments.
